Dominic Scaffidi B. Comm, CHRL, CEC, PCC
Dominic’s purpose is to inspire greatness. He is committed to people and organizations being extraordinary and producing extraordinary results.
Dominic has coached leaders in a variety of organizations as they take on challenges such as dealing with significant change, new projects, and stepping into higher levels. Dominic’s approach is focused on a leader's state of mind and their thinking. Thinking leads to actions, which lead to results. New capabilities, behaviors, and results are only sustainably achieved with new thinking. So rather than tactically focusing on "how-to" deal with a challenge, leaders are supported to first step back and think.
As President and founder at HR Possibilities Inc., Dominic’s focus is executive coaching, team coaching, and training leaders and people managers to develop coaching skills.
With over 25 years of business experience as an HR executive, sales manager, entrepreneur, and consultant; Dominic has worked with leading-edge global organizations across a variety of industries including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, software, telecommunications, financial services, retail, public sector and non-profit.
Dominic holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Economics from the University of Toronto. He has completed several graduate level certifications at the Rotman School of Management (U of T) and at Royal Roads University. He is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) and holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the International Coach Federation (ICF). He is trained and certified in Solution Focused Coaching, Team and Systems Coaching, Transformational Coaching, Positive Psychology and several assessment tools including LEA 360 (Leadership Effectiveness Assessment), Birkman Method, Hogan Assessments, SDI (Strengths Deployment Inventory) and VIA Strengths (Values in Action). Dominic’s coaching impact has been recognized with two Prism Awards granted by the ICF for excellence in coaching in organizations.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Dominic is a past officer and director of The Hunger Project in Canada; a non-profit organization committed to ending hunger globally. He once leveraged his love of running to raise thousands of dollars for The Hunger Project while completing his first marathon. Dominic lives just outside of Toronto where he enjoys creating and living a life that he loves with his wife and two children.
