Deborah Grayson Riegel MSW, PCC
Deborah combines expertise in cognitive, behavioral and social psychology, public speaking, and coaching. She started her career at age 17, when she won the U.S. National Championship in public speaking as a high school senior and was immediately recruited to coach on presentation and communication skills at colleges and corporations. She has since coached hundreds of thousands of professionals to communicate more effectively in industries ranging from advertising, financial services, and government to non-profits, pharmaceuticals, and technology. Deborah serves as a Visiting Professor of Executive Communications at the Beijing International MBA Program at Peking University, China, where she prepares senior leaders from around the world to communicate more effectively in a growing global marketplace. She also teaches at Fordham’s Graduate School of Business in New York City.
Deborah is the President of Elevated Training Inc, MyJewishCoach.com, Engineers Are People Too, and is a team member of The Boda Group.
Deborah has been a featured expert and a contributor to The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Forbes, Fast Company, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Fox Business Network, and American Express OPEN Small Business Forum. She is the author of Oy Vey! Isn’t a Strategy: 25 Solutions for Personal and Professional Success (Behrman House, 2012). Deborah also sits on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Board.
Deborah is a graduate of the The Coaches Training Institute and Coach U’s Core Essentials Program. She is a certified facilitator for the DiSC™ Behavioral Inventory. Deborah holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a MSW from Columbia University, and she paid for her expense school habit by performing stand-up and improvisational comedy in New York City’s top comedy clubs.
Deborah and her husband Michael are the proud parents of ‘tween twins, Jacob and Sophie.
